Hi All.

I am about to become US Citizen (waiting Oath Letter) and have gained my immigration status through political asylum..Since I am living with my Canadian Common law woulkd like to apply Canadian LPR too.
Because in the future we might live sometimes in Canada and don't want to deal any work permit etc.

I have a daughter who is full time college student and she got her immigration through me in the USA..I can add her to my Canada Permanent Residence application and she can get LPR as well.

However I am not clear whether to have both permanent residence at the same time does cause any problem to her because of her GC is based on derivative asylum..

Thanks in advance for your response.

Best Regards

I am not sure about this specific scenario but common sense says how can a person be a Permanent resident of two countries, realcanadian or triple citizen might be able to shed some light on this, isn't your daughter gonna derive US citizenship from you when you naturalize?
