can asylee go to law school?

So I'm wondering if they've to file a tax return in US beside the one they file in their country............?(I posted a thread about it in the Tax forum too)

thanks Thankful,
so by putting foreign tax return I become ineligible for both Federal and State Aids by the way?(cause I've already receive letter frm the HESAA of NJ stating That). And I called the Customer service of the FAFSA and she said that I've to leave foreign tax return, at least for this year because before coming in US that what my parents did......(confused)

You are eligible for FAFSA regardless of your parents' foreign taxing filing status. Again as asylees the government expects them to file US income tax returns. I do not know enough about NJ rules to really comment on state financial aid (I would suspect that by not filing a state return they are not considered to be NJ residents and as result you cannot get state-based financial aid).

Thank u Thankful for these information, they're really hepful,
So we'll do all what's needed(how to file one, which form...?) to start filling US tax form.
it's our bad we're somekind of brand new in US...
