Can someone who became a citizen thru asylum bring her sibling in the US back from thier country when the sibling or sister is 23 years old?

Is there like 21 years of age restriction for CITIZENs bringing thier family to US inluding siblings?
by the way,, citizen means when you get US passport thru green card

Yes, US citizens are allowed to file for their siblings to come to the US. However, the time it takes to get a visa number is pretty lengthy.

I am not sure if I understand the question, but you can sponsor your sibling for filing an I-130 but the process takes about 15 years before she can come to the USA.

what u mean 15 years? also,, i heared a citizen can bring any members of his family as long as the family member is not over the age 21.

so give me some factual and correct answers

15 if not more years of waiting for an immigrant visa. "thankful" is correct, the average processing time from the time the citizen files the application till the immigrant (brother or sister over or under 21) gets the immigrant visa is about 10 to 15 years...and in some cases even more...

The only case the citizen can immigrate a family member within 6 months of filling... is for their wife/husband, mother/father, and sons/daughters under 21

Unfortunately brothers and sisters are considered in another category with less priority.

Facts? there are no facts... that is the way it is...they are visas caps every year...so limited number of visas are given every year....

In the following links (curent bulletin) you will see the category of the petition and what cases are being process now...

As of today, CIS is processing (4th category visas) brothers/sisters cases filed in 1984 for the Phillipines, 1994 for Mexico, 1996 for India and China, and all other countries average 1997.

What you heard is entirely incorrect with respect siblings.

bringing a young sister by after becoming a citizen is sooner or bringing here by including the young sister in an asylum application and getting approved is sooner?

what i mean is which one of the two is faster to bring the sister to US?

thanks

You cannot include your sibling in an asylum application. You can only include your spouse and children. Only citizens are eligible to sponor siblings and it takes 15+ years. Maybe you should buy a Nolo immigration book to read about the basics of the immigration process? Good luck.

I Know Siblings Can't Be Included In Asylum Application. I Know All About Asylum Law.

What I Meant Was That A Child Being Included In Asylum Application Is Sooner Or A Sibling Being Petitioned By A Citizen Is Sooner In Terms Of Bringing To U.s.?
Which Process Is Quicker?
Thanks

If you know "All About Asylum Law," I am sure you know the answer you are seeking. Asylum is complicated while what you are asking is a straightforward question. BTW, the answer (it takes 15+) years has been given to you by at least three peopole and you are still asking. What else do you want?

keiv. still instead of giving straightforward answer, you are just trying to make my topic a problem. i already knew 15 years for citizen to bring sibling , but you could have said a child petitioned by asylum applicant is sooner.

anyway, chill out man, don't look for problems.

If you don't believe what people here are telling you, you should not insist.
You can not include your sister or brother in an asylum petition and it takes 15 year for a citizen to be able to bring them.

What part don't you understand?

It's not sooner thru asylum because you can NOT make the petition. You don't have that option.

Do you get it?

coombian, thanks for your reply but I have asked about 1)a child being included in a parent's asylum application and bringing to U.S. and 2) sibling being petitioned by a US citizen to bring here in U.S..

and my question also was which process is faster between those two?

I am not saying sibling in asylum application.

Thanks

The answer is a kid included in an asylum application will be here is less than a year, while the siblings will take 15+ years.
