Hey Ascii_boston,
The Processing dates for NH SESA Non-RIR currently show Oct 03, and they have been that way since I applied in Dec 2003. That is why i was wondering if something happened there ? The Dates were moving pretty fast just before I applied (it used to be just one month behind). But seems it has suddenly stopped in its tracks.
Is it safe to call the NH SESA office to find out ? Has anybody called there ?

neocor

That is real unlucky :( I am not sure what is happening, but MA SESA (and to some extent, Boston DOL) have also become much slower than they used to be. The situation has become progressively worse in the last 10 or so months.

I can't tell you much about NH SESA since I have no experience there. Hopefully, you'll find someone nice enough in their office to give you a reason/explanation for why dates havent moved, and when they might progress. Or may be you can get your lawyer to call for this info?

Good luck! I hope things pick up pace for you and the other folks waiting.

The long-promised PERM and backlog reduction would do a lot of good towards this scenario ...that is if and when implemented...

DOL phone number

Does anybody know what happened to the DOL phone # 617-788-0152 or 617-788-0171. The first one just plays a messages over and over and the other one just rings. Upuntil lastweek someone used to pick up the phone from 2pm to 5pm. Please let me know if there is any other number to try.

Thanks
Sharif

Is there any one in this forum filed GC from Maine state under RIR and received the quey from the Boston DOL?

Yes, I'm in the same boat. My company submitted the response only few days back. I'm still waiting for a response from the Boston DOL. Hopefully everything is good.

The query asked me for my verification of employment (I'll be joining this company this month), employer's ability to pay, etc details. They submitted almost everything now.

thanks,

Kalse, waitingforlc, DOL-Boston RIR Query/RFE

Mine was filed from NH under RIR. Went to DOL-Boston on May 7. I haven't been told by my employer as to what date he filed in NH. It was sometimes in Nov/Dec timeframe.

I haven't been given any case number. I am getting half info from my employer.......

ALSO I was told recently that a query/RFE is issued by DOL-Boston regarding salary. The position is s/w engineer and salary filed was 67K per year and DOL says its less.......

Does anyone have experience with this type of salary query/RFE for DOL-Boston. What should be the ideal salary for s/w engg, RIR, EB3 category ?

Thanks,
Pachya

Thanks for the reply...

To get your case number, call DOL and tell your name then she will tell your case number that way you can track down the updates on your case.If she can not find your case by using your name ,Please give your employer name then she will able to find.If she can not find on either of those then your case might be still with the State or it is not filed i guess....I found my case this way when I had problem like this.Hope this helps

Bases on the place you filed u r GC the salary should be $69493.

You can check details in the following site.

617-788-0152/617-788-0171 (automated - I don't think this is working)

I tried the number and seems like analysts will be on phone from 2pm to 5pm. But its already 2.20pm EST and I still get the standard phone message.

2pm-5pm is not true. Even I got this message. But if you are lucky, you should be able to talk to the analysts there. Yesterday I tried around 10:30am and succeeded. Keep trying,,,,.......

Salary related query ...

Pachya,

I survived a similar situation. My Labor application had the salary $65K while the prevailing wage according to SESA/DoL is $90K. We have had to go through a pretty intense battle with SESA to convince them that it is definitely NOT $90K. They (SESA) finally agreed (after multiple conversations/kickbacks from SESA) to something around $75K after our employer submitted alternate wage survey showing that the prevailing wage for the experience level and title is somewhere around $68.

Hope this helps.. PM me if you need any further info or if you need to discuss further..

All the best

The 617-788-0152 is the COMMON number that gets routed to the analyst on duty (phone). Each of the analysts (there are 3 of them all together who certifiy permanent labor cases in DoL Boston - Karen is the lady who is really sweet and usually goes out of her way to help the applicants on phone) have their own numbers which they USUALLY do NOT share it with you unless you are ill-fated applicant like me who had to wait for a good 2 years for my certification.

Hope this helps and be good (don't abuse) to the people whom you talk to at DoL - because they are the most polite and friendly US government employees you will ever talk to during your entire GC process.

All the best.

That is true zbcx123. They are really good, infact I called them about 6-7 times for my application. One day I called them twice within a 30 minutes to confirm that my state labor was cleared. They are simply great....
