Birth Certificate?

My wife has birth certificate from hospital and discharge slip too. But that don’t have name of baby (my wife). But It has date of birth, place of birth, address and parents name.

Does that work? What we have to do for name because that is missing?
 
When i filed my i485, my Birth certificate does not have name in it. I have not got any rfe. So far i have not seen rfe for birth certificate with missing name in it. You don;t have to much worry about it

I just replied to a 485 RFE for birth cert w/o my wife's name

Most applicants don't see a RFE for the name not being there, but its not impossible. I got one, have seen others.

My suggestion: Go ahead and apply with hospital certificate plus affidavits from parents/relatives. On the background, keep working on getting either a new certificate from municipality or a non-availibility certificate from the municipality.

Else wait to get a new cert from municipilaty and then apply if you want to be extra careful. Getting certs out from municipality takes time/effort unless you have contacts. YourmanInIndia.com does this for a fee. I got them to get a new cert from bombay Municipality to include my wife's name (the original one didn't) by paying 50$ and sending e-mails every alternate day in a month's time.

My wife got RFE because her hospital birth cert did not contain her name. Normally hospital birth certificate is not accepted as primary birth certificate (rather it can be presented as secondary proof of birth). It's better to get BC from local municipality/rural athority or provide affidavits.
 
I got it now.

I will submit two affidavits with hospital certificate and in background will arrange municipal certificate.

---- if you can get municipal certificate it is OK
or get non-avalibility certificate from Municipality or Village Panchayat or district registrar of birth AND 2 affidavits
