Biometrics - Refused to use married name, what to do?

I went for my biometrics appointment yesterday, took the letter, passport for ID as requested but (but after thinking about it when we actually received the letter) I forgot to take our marriage license. My passport still has my maiden name on it (going to send it off for name change asap). The woman at the desk asked if I had it and I said no, neither me nor my husband thought about it (dumb I know, I'm annoyed at myself) and she said "Okay, just tell them you want the Greencard in your Married name."

So I sit down, wait, get called in and tell the woman that I'd like the card in my married name. She asks if I have my marriage license..she says she can't put me under my married name without proof; so to take the marriage license to the interview. Why she couldn't have just put my married name and asked me to take the license to prove it instead of get it changed... Meh.

Anyway, so the biometrics was for my Work Permit and my I-485... So basically my Permit is going to have my maiden name on it, right? What am I supposed to do about that?

The woman at the appointment didn't give me the choice to bring it (the marriage license) in later in the day or mail it or anything, so I don't know what to do. It can't be a BIG deal right now, but it's just irritating. Any suggestions?

Didn't know if it would make a difference. I said I'm not that fussed, just want to know if/how I can get it changed and if I need to.

On the forms? My married name...that why I don't understand why they had a problem with entering my married name on the biometrics stuff, it's like I've already given them proof and my married name on everything, when I go to the interview it's not like I can suddenly change my mind with no proof... =/

That's really very odd. I tried to give them my ML and they said they didn't need it to do it in my married name since it's what I used on the papers.

The marriage license is not enough. You need to actually mary a person and exchange the license for the marriage certificate. Then return to the biometrics location and request them to change the name. Or instead of changing biometrics, the best way to do, you migh wait for the green card interview and request it there. Or take the green card and then request a replacement to correct the name, etc.
