hi everyone. How long it ussualy takes to get an approval letter after your biometrics done?? My biometrics was on April 28,2005 in new York. Anyone?? thanks.!!!!

Biometrics AFTER Approval Letter

I got an approval letter on 4/19. The letter stated that my Alien Registration Card would be directly mailed to me.

Yesterday. I got a FP/Biometrics letter. The notice instructs me to go the local USCIS office to have my biometrics captured.

They are still processing 02/2000 cases. I don't know why the heck have they obtained FP's of May 2001 guys..

To correct Lazerthegreat..they FP's every asylee until 2004 I believe...And also few members in this forum(one with 08/00) were approved..so USCIS is processing cases here and there..

I believe they have handed few cases of certain timeframes to certain officers and its how they process it...

biometric after final appoval

I got my final appoval letter on apr 19, 2005. The letter said they will mail me the green card within 120 days. They did not ask for anything.

Now I got a biormetric letter asking me to get my fingerprint done in a local office on 5/31/05. In the letter, they also mentioned that if the case has been granted already, I can disregard this letter.

I'm confused. why they ask me to do the biometric after approval letter.

Shall I go to do the fingerprint for biometric, or shall I make appointment through INFO PASS to get my I-94 stamped, like NANA and HER HUSBAND suggested?

If anyone have the same situation, please help!

I got the same 120 day letter without ever doing the biometrics or getting a notice and I did a infopass app anyway...you can get the temp card and the biometrics done (needed for the card) with this the app at the local center according to nana_s if I remember correct
