When my BIO 3 was taken this morning I saw a red " Match Warning" light came on a couple of times. I am kind of worried, do you guys have any idea what it could be?
I did some research in Internet and half topics I found state there is a possible match in X database, the other half say that it just a software warning about poor quality or something. Anyway, he did not re-take my fingerprints (the ones with "match warning") and now I am really worried.

It has something to do with you old credit card applications, I think.

I totally agree that it is not nice to say what you have said but it is sure funny :).

Its no big deal. The computer has to accept your FP as valid before submitting to the database for check. A warning is given to the operator to make sure FP's are taken accordingly to the standards FBI has set. Meaning, its readable.

In the past when there were paper FP's, they would send them and get a return saying the FP were not valid because all the proper signature of a print was not taken.

Thats why they ask you to make sure you have no cuts/scrapes. When they take your FPs, they ask you to be loose and not push hard on the FP machine because it has to be accepted.

Have you noticed how many points match it was? I had a 6-point match on my right ring finger at BIO3. Checked it with someone with law enforcement background and was told that it should be, at least, 24 point match for every finger. If it's something less than that, there's no reason even to start worrying.

Mr. SIBMX: Did you ever do fingerprint at the center where your BIO was taken? If yes, then you are ok. If not, I don't know.
In my case, when I was doing my BIO the red light match was coming up frequently. I didn't ask the lady who was doing my finger-print about the red light, but I understood it to be my old finger-print stored on their computers.

What happens is that when the center that is doing the finger-print takes your finger-print at the first time, I think they estublish a file on their system for you. Then when you back the next time for finger-print the system will identify you because it knows you. This is good, and I think it happened to me because last time I did bio I can remember a red light coming up frequently indicating a "match found". I understood to be data stored on their computer. My finger-prints were cleared the FBI the following day despate the match. So I think you don't have to worry anything for now unless you are aware of something very big you did...good luck..

Agreed. You are the best judge of how much you should worry--if you know that you have nothing to hide, this is no big deal.

man ,stop worry about little things like that..
ASC take you fingerprint and submit it to the FBI...that mean uscis not able on that stage to know anything about you...unless you been arrested or detained and fingerprinted by the immigration or border patrol or ICE.. otherwise do not lose any sleep about this little incident.
matter fact ,I think I saw red light or warning sign during my fingerprint session too.
Good luck
