I think the original PM lacks clarity to begin with, so the receiver should have had clarified the facts before jumping into conclusions (more importantly before opening a public thread with a negative perception)

I hope the parties would understand their lack of oversight and just let this pass, and continue to contribute here for the greater good !!

What would you think if you get an emial with the heasline "contribution needed" and the subject is sponsoring....?

I hardly ever read the nigeria forum, neither the Asian or the Africa one...basically I read AOS and Europe forums.

I know by watching Dateline NBC about the scam from Nigeria and having gotten emails for my rentals with scams from Nigeria (stating in it they are from Nigeria) and also when I was searching for a dog I emailed a few people online and got emails back from Nigeria stating they were a missionary, priest or teacher and I could wire money to get a dog...every one can read online how these are scams...money wired ..no dog!

Also Amsterdam, London are used to get the money through to Nigeria...........


I have nothing against honest people from whatever country....but want to be precautious towards asking for money,etc...because I received more PM's indication a similar thing, but maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the way the headline reads....:)

I understand where you are coming from Bentlebee, but it doesn't hurt to apologize when there is a misunderstanding. ;)

I never mind appologizing if I make a mistake, but for sure I'm not appologizing for this email that Gasper2000 send me...if he meant I had to go and search on a Nigeria forum for what he meant he should have put a link towards it. I only got an email stating

"contribution needed" and sponsor issues...as I have stated...

The post gasper2000 refered to...how on earth can I know by getting a PM he meant something else...He should appologize for the confusion...I never sent him an email and never started any confusion and in the first place never even mentioned his name...

I didn't ask for an apology and I would except it if it is meant...

Maybe for next time if you ask a person a question and really mean something else than at least post the link where the person needs to search for the post you mean that person has to respond to....

I got only a few words and "contribution needed"....which in the same email as sponsor mentioned comes across...totally different than if you had emailed me the link or had written the complete story as you did post on this forum, which I never received from you....so next time tell the whole story and not just half...

Bentlebee needs to take her crap elsewhere.

I am so sick entire of listening to this bull**** of her constantly warning people about random stuff. First it was a Dutch USA website for having a commercial agenda (What website with travel related information doesn't? ), now it's scamming Nigerians (we all got the emails in hotmail, gmail, whatever), no need to insult folks. That Dutch forum banned her for good, for constantly telling people off. And the first thing she did when that happened was open a thread here to whine about such gross injustice. Puh-lease.


Just use your common sense and don't listen to this self proclaimed expert! I have seen her give advice that was blatantly untrue. Having a friend who happens to be a one time winner of the lottery does NOT make you an expert. A friend, by the way, whose application got sent back for lacking crucial information. Again, complete verbal crap she spews here.

I'm not gonna hold back on my opinion about this annoying person any longer, sorry.

I'm sorry gasper2000. You asked us to stop with this thread but I think that this is a little more than a simple misunderstanding. Discrimination should not be allowed in this forum as discrimination is not allowed by the US law. You could find plenty of comments from bentlebee discriminating mainly Africans but also Mexicans and people from other countries as well.

I would also like to point out that, to me, gasper's note did not imply that he was asking for a "sponsor". I have always heard of people referring to "sponsors" not "contributors" for affidavit of supports. I guess the two words have different meanings.

Don't take it personal! Bentlebee is Dutch (as am I) but she's equally ignorant and condescending on Dutch USA forums to fellow Dutch people. It's just her personality, which is annoying as hell.

Tell me what is discriminating about it....If nobody is speaking English at any counter at the time we were standing there and the person helping us, hardly could speak English and the words were hard to understand....the super visor did speak English like her first language was English...You a statement of how it was. Maybe you haven't lived in Florida where some places have their first language as Spanish...

Do I feel discriminated when some one can hear that I'm a foreigner...not at all, so why should some one else...I didn't call any one a bad name and all around me we have people of all backgrounds which makes society great.

I also answer PM's from people of all Nations...so your post is slender!

After reading this thread, I think you just jumped into conclusion assuming you were asked to be a sponsor, which you clearly were not!!!! If you were worried about gasper2000 being a scammer you should've just ignored the PM as you would if you received those scam emails. You didn't need to start this irrelevant thread. But hey, you always want to post things and feel that you know a lot about immigration stuff but honestly I always find most of your posts to be useless.

I really don't mean to be rude, but just do all of us a favor and post what you know and is important, you don't need to contribute in everything.

What i think you fail to realize is that the "voice of the people is the voice of God"(vox populi vox dei).Heed the advice of the people.For what i truly now see is a people who want the growth of the forum and where there is an expression of brotherliness not discrimination.

Everybody have said it all, so I suggest we should leave Bentlebee (Mr. know all). He is known in some other threads to be involve in nonsensical argument.

Gasper we need you more at the always lively and highly educative Nigerian thread than this absurd thread created by Mr. know all.
