Believe It or Not - Done with My Interview today

Hello folks,

Here is my experience in today's interview.

Interview was at 8.20 am and I was called by the officer at 9 am and the interview lasted for 25 min. The process went very smoothly. The officer was asking running questions while going through my 2 inches of file that he was having (most of the answers will be either yes or no).
Reading question: When is Columbus day?
Writing: Columbus day is in October
Civics Test: Here are the questions I was asked (civics test).
1. What did the Declaration of Independence Do?
2. Name one branch or part of the Govt.?
3. We elect Senators for how many years?
4. If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
5. What does the President's cabinet do?
6. How many justices are on the Supreme court?

The orders are different. Once all first 6 were correct he stopped and said I passed the test. He gave me N-652 form (Naturalization Interview result) and said that I will be getting the oath letter in due course. He also added that it might take 1-3 months (standard way of saying). He then congratulated me and escorted till the reception area. Over all my experience was very pleasant. Whoever has interview go through your application that you sent before your interview.

Now I will wait for the Oath letter.

Congrats! Good for you! Which Office? I am assuming AZ was just the lockbox.

After the officer congratulated me he asked whether I have any question for him. I said no. Then he came along with me till the place where I started. This is what they do and I have seen in USCIS simulation interview video.

Be cool and everything will be fine.

Congratulations, madgu!
My interview is tomorrow. I am pretty anxious, and already have bad headache. I hope it will be not that bad tomorrow...
 
This can not be true.

I had my interview today and had absolutely the same reading and writing questions and the same civic test.

Obviously they just follow a pattern they have.

Everything is possible. They cannot keep making the question set all the time.
 
Believe it or not I was also asked the same set of civic questions today as 'madgu-gc2005' at Buffalo, NY
 
Same set of questions and same sentences for me. This was last year in Raleigh-Durham.

They must have some sets they choose from so that the questions are evenly distributed. So nothing strange in my opinion.

Congrats, you did it pretty fast.
 
Expert advise please....

My spouse got GC in Aug 2007 (my dependent) and I can file N-400 now. My citizenship is pretty much close (see my signature). Will my spouse's application be affected anyway if I send N-400 application after I become USC? or I should file before I take oath. Please advise.

Madgu, I believe that your spouse may file N-400 any time according to eligibility requirements (5 years - <~90 days), and this application will not depend whether you are a citizen or not. An example with my son (dependent): we sent out both applications simultaneously (got GCs on the same day). Even if in the application N-400 is indicated that "the spouse (you) is not a US citizen", by the time your spouse goes to the interview, you will most likely have your citizenship already, and an IO will definitely make the corresponding correction.
