Being an Independent contractor on F1 Visa

Hello

I am a student from India here on f1 visa for more than five years. I wanted to know if I can work as an independent contractor on f1 visa. In the IRS website any person working for himself can be considered as an independent home business owner and this includes individual contractors. I had a home business like amway under which I have filed schedule B, but now I am looking at taking web development projects and working on my own, some on hourly based compensation and some on whole fees. Is this allowed under F1 visa ? Can I register my independent business and get paid legally, ?

With F1 you are only authorize to work in the campus but some occasion you can get authorization form INS to work outside. But you must have to have work authorization
