BEC Priority Date Tracker

this is wonderful! it'll be really great if these graphs can be added to real tracker (hope it is not too much of additional burden on guys maintaining tracker).

nviren said:
Looks like many people tried to open the tracker with graphs I uploaded on friday but could not open it.

Hence I am uploading it again. This has the same scatter diagrams and pivot charts the earlier one had. (And removing the attachment from earlier one to conserve the disk space)

Again, MDWatch and Mvinays are doing commendable job of maintaining the tracker. I don't intend to start another one. I thought by way of graphs, we can analyze the whole situation better and see if we can see any predictability in the operation of BECs.

If it adds value and can be done, may be we can add it to real tracker.

Your analysis, comments are welcome.

Thanks,

Correction / Addition

WhatALabor - Corrected Now() and Today() functions
nviren - Used the PD vs approval date graph you have suggested both for PBEC and DBEC. Looking into adding the pivot tables but I am unsure about those.

Thanks a ton!

Dear MDWatch and all,

Great job! Am visiting this forum after quite a while and was pleasantly surprized to see the approvals and 45-d letters moving along. Please add my details to the tracker:

ETA Case # T-05216-78XXX
Processing Type EB-2 RIR
Case Rcvd Date 02/14/2005
Priority Date 02/14/2005
Case source Region

This is the info from screen shot sent to me by my lawyer long time back (Dec 2005).

For PBEC : trends

Looking at the tracker

There is no trend for the federal cases. They are getting processed in kind of random sequence.

For the SWA cases there is a clear trend emerging in the last few months...
There is activity in the mid 2002 SWA cases. many cases from 2002 start to sep 2002 have been certified.

large number of late 2002 cases have received 45-day letters.
folks with 2001/2002 who donot have a 45 day letter should talk to their lawyers..

correction in tracker data

Hello moderator,
I have not received the 45 day letter so far. Pl. correct it to "Pending". And case no has to start with "T" not "D"
Pl. check with my signature..

thx,

Labor got approved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

Just got email from HR, my labor cert was approved, not known the aproval date yet.

PD: Aug 2002
CA RIR
45-Day letter: Feb 2005
Also my coworker his PD same with mine got approved a couple days ago.

Good luck to everyone.

Trends

I think the fact that Dallas is churning out more cases must be having something to do with another fact that they are pretty much approving in FIFO.

That is to say, If BEC processes in FIFO, they can process more.

The inverse seems to be true for PBEC. Very few overall approvals and haphazard in their PDs

In PBEC statewise scatter, for the states where there are quite a few approvals, FIFO seems to be followed to certain degree. Means more approvals (CA, VA, NY) when FIFO is followed. Of course the number of applns from these states are also high. As against that PA, NJ, MD, DC has very few approvals and they do not follow any FIFO.

I think once PBEC gets its act together and start following FIFO, the rate of approvals coming out will increase.

I also think that in PBEC, they have assigned some COs to applns from perticular states which have huge number of cases.

All this assumes that we have a representative sample of the total cases. And BEC are predominantly processing EB (non-245i) cases for now.

What is the estimate of EB 1, 2, 3 ( I mean non-245i) cases at BECs?
355000 total cases
- 240000 245i cases
--------------
= 115000

Am I correct?
