BCIS has a staggering 1.2 million 485 pending adjudications. Wonder how much of that is from TSC. They shamelessly mention about these details in their website.
The BCIS statistics which were just released for the month of April 2003 reflect that the approval of immigration benefit applications dropped 26% in March 2003 as opposed to March 2002, while the number of pending cases increased 36%, reflecting the drastic halt or slow-down of adjudication of cases during last one year.
· An undercount of initial receipts for all Service Centers was discovered due to a software misclassification of receipts as cases transferred-in. February and March receipts were revised upward to correct for this misclassification.
· Total immigration application pending cases reached 5,023,666, a 36 percent increase when compared to March 2002.
· Major volumes in March 2003 receipts include: 148,263 I-765 employment authorizations; 68,144 I-130 relative petitions; 63,636 I-90 Green Card renewals/replacements; and 60,334 I-485 permanent resident adjustments.
· Major volumes of pending cases at the end of March 2003 include: 1,772,648 I-130 relative petitions; 1,118,087 I-485 permanent resident adjustments; 744,809 I-90 Green Card renewals/replacements; and 396,571 I-765 employment authorizations.
