Thanks for the reply, pretty good list. I will also take with me my university degrees, and work experience documents. At risk of overdoing it, i will also take utility bills as a proof of co-habitation for me and my wife, as they have both names. Although bank statements may serve that purpose if accounts are joint ones.

Question for you, what are employer financials & tax returns? I know that i will take the W forms that my employer has sent to be start of last 2 years. And will also take the forms i submitted to taxation office.

I was asked for mine - she wanted to verify the original.

Also take mark lists ( 10th/SSlc ) etc. One of my friend had affidavit for BC (no original Birth cert), the officer was happy to verify the date of birth on the SSLC cert.

Yes the interviews are half hour apart on the interview notice. But give the notices together to the person behind the glass door. And you will be called together.

Mine was 1pm, my spouse 1.30 and child 2 pm. All 3 were called in at 1.35pm and interview lasted till 2.10pm

Also remember the dates you are with your employer, and previous experiences. Have all experience letters too.

Simply carry everything you think is related to your education, status etc. It is better to carry a huge load than regret later.

Also for spouse take H1/H4 copies paystubs etc, to show that you are in legal status.

Take driving licences.

Employer's tax returns - ask your employer, this shows the employer has the financial capability to pay you.

Your w2s and tax returns also to be taken
 
one more suggestion

Those of you who have the SSN card with an additional line stating - eligible to work with INS authorization only, may go to the below location and apply for a normal SSN by showing your passport stamp. We finished this the same day, and the SSn will come by mail.

My friend finally got an ID for 10/24

Finally my friend got ID for 10/24, TD 8/6, got it yesterday.

Hey Guys..

Did not receive my ID yet. TD 08/08

Have a ? for U all. I am planning to get married before I go for the interview.

Can I postpone the Date. Is it good to do it ???

I would suggest, ask your lawyer, he would obviuously know the best way to handle the situation.
 
empl letter format

There was a question on how the employment letter
should have.
I have found from past discussions that every company gives
in different formats and salary details etc.
some say present salary should be mentioned, others say not etc.

I just took what my company lawyer gave me and got it signed by
my immediate manager.
The letter was address to INS office full address baltimore
and told this is a permanent offer, regular full time job
in position of ------------ with salary at least < that mentioned
in labor and i-140 petition>

full address and contact phone number required.

someone here told start date, how long i am employed etc
should be there, but i did not question the format that lawyers
gave. i had told my manager that he may get a call from INS
but they never called him.

my current salary was not mentioned except of course the paystub. current salary was a bit higher than one mentioned
in salary which was what i was getting 2 years ago.

i would suggest you get format from your corporate officer
so that if they call they will know how to respond.

good luck to all getting IDs. Prepare all the docs and it will be
easy. I prepared all docs in many manilla folders.
i labelled each one with contents and kept original
then a separator sheet then copy.

if he asks for original, pull it out.
when he asks for copy you can pull it also immediately.

be prepared to give original or a copy whichever officer asks.
 
still didn't get interview date

My TD is AUG 8TH. I know lot of people got their interview on Oct 17th and 23 rd.Is there anybody left who didn't get interview notofocation with a transfer date Aug 7th or 8th.

I would appreciate the reply
