BALTIMORE Interview on July 12

No Title

Hi GMC,

I talked to my lawyer today and he said I really do not need affidavit of support, it is required for marriage based only.

But upon insisting again he told me to get I-134.

I hope this helps. All the best.

Tushar, I heard you finally received your interview
notice.

Can please tell me what is I-134? How to get them?

Thanks,

Hi GMC,

I-134 is simpler than I-864. Usually one fills this form for inviting parents. What you really need for this form is about 10-12K Bank Balance/CD/Shares/MutualFund. For Bank Balance you can contact your bank to give you a statement that tell your present balance, your average balance for last 1 year and total # of deposits in last year. You can go to your bank and ask them to give you one. If you have any shares/MF then the latest statement will do.

My lawyer did say that this is required ONLY for the marriage based cases and the checklist of doc that I received from Baltimore also said the same thing. I am thinking of not taking it.

By the way you can get I-134 form http://www.ins.gov

I hope this helps and all the best for your interview.

Thanks again, Tushar.

My lawyer told me (again..) that I nor my wife and
daughter need these forms. So I guess our bank statements
and my paystubs will do (I HOPE SO).

Besides, I am taking my lawyer with us.

I am very anxious and excited at the same time
for our interview. 2 more days...

I will keep you all posted.
