Do you know what your friend\'s transfer notice said? Mine says "..to speed processing you case has been transfered....you will receive a written decision from that office".
My TD to Baltimore is 4/25/01, still waiting.

macika, Mine says "priliminary processing done at VSC" .
Baltomore cases are having these two types of messages.

-Do not know every body will go through interview process or not
-Do you know anybody(local transfer cases only) got approval from baltimore without interview.

This is exactly what I am trying to figure out. Sorry, I mis-read your earlier message. I thought it was a straight approval from Baltimore.

Mine is also transferred on 6/4 to Baltimore. Still waiting.
PD 6/22/99 RD 1/8/01 ND 1/16/01 FP 4/27/01 EB2 China.

Hi Karri and Newtothis:

I did not make any inquiries from INS Baltimore.
Interview notices for my wife and myself arrived
last Saturday for interview on July 12 at 10.45am.
Then yesterday (Monday), my daughter\'s interview
notice came too for interview on July 12 at 11.15am!

Well, I will keep everyone posted. This site helped
me a lot. I am just preparing all requirements, there\'s
bunch of them!!!

HI EVERYONE! Yes, GMC and GMC01 are the same person.
It\'s me. I reformatted my PC and could not get in
anymore as GMC and could not access password (\'cause
I think I did not update my NEW email address...)

Anyway, sorry guys, I was not able to respond sooner
just had a little mishap with my PC. Thanks again.

I will everyone posted. I really hope that we shall
get our approval immediately after the interview!!!
I am planning to take my lawyer...just in case.

Mine says "preliminary processing...." too.
I guess they just conduct interview by batches
and not everyday, by schedulte too.

Here are the docs needed stated in the letter:

A. Documents required for ALL interviews:
* orig appointment letter
* passport and photo ID like drivers license or state ID card
* birth certificates
* employment authorization car, if any
* form I-94, if any
* bring interpreter if needed
* final court dispositions relating to all arrests you may have
* any notices & forms given by INS, including AP or other travel docs

B. For employment-based cases, the ff addtnl items are required:
* current letter of employment letter (w/ employer\'s tel no & address)
* copy of approved form I140, w/ all attachments
* copy of ETA-750 Labor Cert package
* evidence of employer\'s ability to pay your wages such as employer\'s
tax returns, financial statements AND your W2 forms, paychecks stubs
last 3 issued if applicable.

C. For Marriage-Based cases, the ff addtnl items are required:
* both spouses must be present at the interview
* proof of petioner\'s US citizenship or legal permanent
resident status
* marriage cert
* proof of termination of ALL prior marriages of both spouses
* evidence of bono fide marriage- submit doc w/c would assist
in establishing the validity of your marriage such as (but not
limited to) lease agreements or home ownership docs, joint bank
and credit accounts, proof of joint ownership of other property
such as investments, automobiles, life ins, health ins.
* birth certificates for your children
* Affidavit of Support, completed and notarized with supporting
documentation (if not already filed)

NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE IN THE ORIGINAL FORM AND ACCOMPANIED
BY A COPY. A CERTIFIED ENGLISH TRANSLATION MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH
ALL FOREIGN LANGUAGE DOCS.

THIS IS A GENERAL CHECKLIST, SINCE EACH CASE IS UNIQUE, DOCS
WHICH ARE NOT LISTED MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE INTERVIEWING
OFFICER.

I do not think so. I agree with Anastomosis, just
renew your passport then bring both, old & new.

Just in our case, our passports are due to expire
in a couple of months, so we decided to renew them
before the interview and just bring both (since we
orig submitted our old ones).
