Just came back from Dulles Airport in DC. Going through passport control was a breeze. I had my recently renewed NP, GC, and a customs form filled out. I did indicate on the form countries visited: England and COP (anticipating that the notorious question may be asked). The IO asked how long I had been away and stamped the NP. I didn't see him scanning anything.
I had a great trip, paid a visit to my parents, (took care of my Mom who broke her arm recently) and travelled across England for the first time. Absolutely enjoyed it! For those of you who are paranoid about travelling on NP with a GC - don't be afraid! It's legitimate and much easier than with RTD or Reentry permit. And don't listen to some paranoid folks here who simply lack common sense. Travel! Enjoy seeing the world! After all, isn't it what we all came to this country for?
