My mother came on B2 Visa. She was given entry with end date 6 months from now. But the immigration officer listed "No Extensions"
Last time she came in Dec 2011, we applied for extension got it approved until Dec 2012.
But she left USA in July 2012 (so she used only 1 month of the extension period even though it was until Dec 2012).
She was not able to explain this to the immigration officer and probably he might have thought she stayed until Dec 2012 and returning in 7 months back to USA and wrote "No extensions" on the date stamp in the passport.
1) Does it mean, we should not apply for a B2 visa extension, even if there is a need or due to situations.
2) If there is a need, does it help going through an attorney for her extension.
3) Does it jeopardize her future entries to USA if she applies for extension even though "No Extensions" is listed.
thanks,
Deej
