b2 extension - eticket question

My parents have an e-ticket. How do I show the validity or intention to leave from that? Should I book the flight for a later date (but according to some on this forum that shows that you are expecting the extension to be approved). What is the best way to go about this? Should I get a letter from the airline of the validity of their e-ticket? What is the best way?

I would advise you to concentrate more on the justification of the extention itself. Elaborate on why your parents are seeking an extension, for example, they want to go to FL to see Disneyland, or they need to see a doctor, etc.

Basically my mom's knee started hurting extremely bad during their stay here and we went to see the dr as well. I could get a drs note for that as well as say that they didn't get a chance to travel the places we wanted to go. Plus my brother's graduation is in may and they would like to stay for that. Is that a good enough reason ?

triple citizen,
thanks so much for all your prompt help! nice to see people helping out over here even after their usage of the forum is complete)..anyway, what do you advise for the ticket situation? what would be the best way to show our return plans or our ticket validity given that one of the evidences requested is :
Why your extended stay would be temporary, including what arrangements you have made to depart from the US.

what would be the best approach given your experience?

should i try to get a letter from emirates saying how long their eticket is valid.
also, if i post a draft of the letter here, do you think you could take a quick look and see if it looks ok (you seem pretty experienced :))
