B1 to H1B need help...

Hello please help me with this.

My friend changed her status from B1 to H1B now she wants to visit inda, Can she go to Canada or Mexico for visa stamping ? if not what are the chances getting visa from India ??

Please help.

If India is her home country...

She might be asked at Canada or mexico to go to India and get the stamping and with the new Apl1 rule about contigous travel, on denial she might have to go to India anyway.
She is better off getting the h1 stamped in India. h1 cannot be refused based on immigration intent. But educational qualifications, company\'s standing here in US, proof of experience will all play a factor in the H1 stamp approval by any consulate.

I too was in the similar situation (tourist to h1b status) and did a mistake of going to Canada - I got denied - now I am stuck here in USA - too worried to go to India - you do not want to end her in the similar situation as I am.
