Dear All,

I was rejected B1/B2 under 214(b) today! wht could be the reason.

I'm working in this company for past 11 months and i ve no previous experience and my current salary is 1,20,000 p.a.

Is it my salary or experience the culprit. Now when and how many times can i reapply.

Pls help me!

Thanks,
Dogmatix.

It could be a single factor or a combination of several factors. Bottom line is, the consul was not convinced that you would return from the US in a timely fashion. Give it a little time and when your circumstances change (with regards to your home ties) apply again. I wish you good luck.

Thanks a lot for your good wishes Mr.Triple Citizen, after a long thought i was

wondering may be it was because i filled my Sister is Residing in US as Legal permanent Resident in my DS-156 could have caused my rejection!

My interview:

VO:hello h r u doin?
Me:I m doing gr8.
VO: What is ur purpose of travel?
Me: I m there to attend client meeting and ongoing projects in NY.
VO: is this your first job?
Me: Yes sir
VO: What is your monthly income?
Me: 10000 sir
VO: Why do u want to stay for 2 months?
Me: I have to support my client for intial few weeks and see wht problems he faces in the network then based on that i have to send a report to my manager.
(then he types somethin on the computer for some 15secs and then draws out a blue slip with 214(b))

VO: Sorry sir your visa has been rejected this time, try your luck next time!
me: thank you sir.

Now when i typed i was thinkin may be i should have told 'em that i will be back after collecting the report instead of sending it to my Manager!

so i dont know where it went wrong!

Now my other questions are
1. can reapply next week
2. wht if i dint fill the column where i ve to specify my relation stayin in US. Will they come to knw thru my previous interview!
3. or is the denial because of my salary and exp?
4 or because i wasnt clear sayin 'em that i will be back after my job is over!

Thanks a lot for everyone out here!

Having an LPR sister probably worked against you.

A1: Yes you can re-apply next week itself but I doubt your circumstances have changed in one week
A2: You have no choice. You have to mention your relatives and their US statuses. You do not want to misrepresent/conceal anything asked for.
A3: Those factors could have influenced the consul's decision
A4: It is possible that the 2 month duration also worked against you

Dear friend never get disappointed Inshallah every thing will be alright
i dont understand why are you are you so disappointed, this is not the end of the world try once again with confidance and take as much evidences as possible and if your sister is in usa on GC it shouldnt be a problem unless if you are able to convice the counclor that you will be coming back to the origin country. my wife is a GC holder still i got the visa by the grace of almighty allah.
Apply once again and try to convincethem in a polite manner
read the following information carefully

applying again..

Hi all,

My company is plannin to apply again for my visa in a weeks time... There is no significant change in my situation as given in d US embassy website, except for the change in invite letter that i would definitely be back in India once my job is over.. Also some supportin doc to the work that i will be doin dere and i now i know hw an visa interview is done and on wht basis. So this time i ll be careful and tell VO that i will be back once i m done with my job...

Hw do u all feel abt my chance this time??

Thanks,
Dogmatix
