B1 or H4?

Please let me know your opinion(s).

My to be wife is in India and has a 10 year multiple entry B1 visa. She has been to US a few times.
My trip to get married will be very short and getting H4 during that period will be difficult (dont have consulate in home city etc.).

What are disadvantages/risks of coming on B1 visa and then converting to H4 while in US?

Advantages are the saved time and hassle, and that we will be able to come to US together.

It is desirable to change visa status to H4. If on B visa, officer at port of entry may question on why she travelled on visitor visa if she plans to stay more than the visitor period which is typically few months.
 
You can change to H4 with an good attorney help.
