B1/B2 Revoked for whole family even before we travelled

I got my family (self, wife and 3 kids) B1/B2 visa from US embassy in dubai in september. We planned to travel in summer. Yesterday i just received an email from US embassy that my whole family's visas have been revoked due to "some additional information" available now. They have asked me to bring the passports to embassy so that they can be physically cancelled.
I have tried asking reason but no response.

I am a very well settled person making much more than enough money and have absolutely no reason to stay back in US and definitely not a criminal or terrorist.

I have myself traveled to US in past 10 years on valid visas and always returned within a week or so (all travel was job related). I have a sibling who is US citizen and my parents also live in US as permanent residents. All of that was already mentioned in my visa application against which my visa was issued.

What could be the possible reason? Any ideas? Does this mean my family has been barred permanently from getting a visa in future? I am clue less. Never heard of this happening to anyone.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Did your parents or your sibling file for your green card? Did the email mention INA code under which your visas are canceled? What is your country of citizenship?

Yes my brother did apply and it was mentioned on my visa application against which I was issued the visa. So that was already known to visa officer. I have a pakistani passport.
no, email mentioned no code. Following is the email text

Quote:
Please be advised your visa and those of family members XXXXXX, YYYYYY, and ZZZZZZZZ have been revoked as a result of additional information that became known after the issuance of your visa. No further information is available. You and your family are free to re-apply if you desire. Naturally, as per visa requirements, you would have to establish your strong ties to a home country to the satisfaction of a consular officer in order to qualify for a visa.
We request you and your family bring in the passports containing their visa so the visas can be physically stamped.
We thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.
