B Visa with a novel I-90

Hi,

I was stamped a F-1 D/S on my I-90 by the consular officer.
Does this mean I am a student now and can stay until I finish what I came here to do?

D/S = Duration of status

You are good as long as you stay enrolled in the program that issued your I-20. The form you have that written on is I-94, not I-90. It was the POE officer, not consular officer who issued your I-94.
