Received my PP

Hi Folks,
Atlast I got my PP, relieved............ It's worth the wait...

Once again My details:

SL Date : 8th Aug,
DC Date : 28th Aug,
PP Received : 6th Nov

Hope this info helps.

Last but not the least I would like to thank each one of u in this forrum , sharing their experience. A spl thanks to Srivum & skali w/o which this forrum wud never been a success.

Fedex Tracking

Hi Guys,
Please check FedEx after 5:00pm. If your case is approved yesterday, your package should/could be picked up today and you can see the tracking history only after 5:00pm.

Actually, I'd advise u to check after 11 PM that evening as the last pick up is at 8.45 PM and it is updated around 11 PM on the FEDEX web site, that's my experience.

i just now spoke to the DC office and writing this right away.
DC date : 29 Aug,
Visa issued : Nov 6.

Im so excited, hope everythig comes properly without errors. i have a ?. is visa issued means visa stamped. just wanted to know how long it will take to reach us, as we did this through my hubby's company paralegal services.

Visa issued : Nov 6.

Hi Agna,
Issued means, it is approved. You should get your passport on Saturday. Check the tracking tomorrow after 5pm. If it is picked up, talk to FedEx and enable saturday delivery option.

Urgent! Error on DS-156, please help!!

Hi,

My SL date was 8/13/03 and no other information until now.
But today, I reviewed my copy of DS156 and found I had made
some errors in it. Basically, I misunderstood the box2-5, which
ask for passport issurance city/country/issurance date/exipration
date. But I filled in with my last H-1b visa issurance
city/country/issurance city/expiration date.

What should I do?? Should I send a new form and explain the reason
to washington DC immediately?

Or just wait to see my luck, whether they will refuse it and do accordingly.

Hi

You need to wait until your paper comes to your hand. If anything is wrong, they will ask you to send another form with correct information to DC directly and will issue the passport within 10 days.

Hi cutieelily,

I hope you can call DC office, explain them and send/fax the corrected version. i heared some of the guy who sent photos like that. otherwise you have to wait until they send back the papers. after that it will take another 2 or 3 weeks if they ask u to send back to DC office.

Thanks joe! I have already booked my trip so I need the visa by the
end of the month. Wouldn't it better if I send them the correct form
earlier? And I will call them tomorrow to find out my DC date so that I
can have some idea of when my case will be processed. And I also want
to tell them about this mistake. What do you think?

Hi,

I just sent out the corrected version with explanation via UPS
overnight to DC. It will get there tomorrow morning 10:30am.
I think no matter what, this shouldn't hurt. I'll call them tomorrow
to follow up.

I know it's too rush but I'm afriad if wait one more day and it can only
get there next Monday. By that time, my case might have been
processed and denied back.

Looks like its taking time for DC office to move forward from Aug. 28-29 cases. My DC date is Sep 05, and if they go forward at this pace, I am afraid, I may not get my visa revalidated before my travel date, which is Nov. 26.
I have read couple of times in this forum, that its taking 86-87 days for them after SL date, but for me, its been 87 days already. And there are no signs of getting my visa revalidated within the next couple of days.
 
I called today (7th Nov) morning, I was a able to talk to the Visa Officer with in a min (i couldn't believe it). Then she told that they are proceesing Aug 30th items.

My DC recv Date is 02 Sept. Hope fully they will process it in next week.

Just called DC, the lady was polite.

DC date: 08/28/2003
Approved: 11/06/2003

But the lady told me that it takes 2 weeks for printing, quality assurance etc before I can receive my passport. I told her that I have a very bad emergency, I really have to get my passport as soon as possible. But she tols me that there is no way to expedite that, even if I withdraw the application, it still taks 2 weeks.

Do you guys know when I can get my passport?

Dear Friend,

I am in a similar situation, where my visa got approved on Oct 29th, but the lady said the samething about 2 weeks for printing & QA. I am still waiting and haven't recd. my passport yet.

I called up DC again 2 days back, but can't get any information if they have posted or not.
