Hey YWU what is your ND?

You can ask your attorney for the ND. He will tell it. From the WAC # it seems, it should be around 9/17. Please let us know
 
Mine is 08/13. My lawyer said I had cashed receipt.

Mine is 08/13. My lawyer said I had cashed receipt. I have not got the mail from lawyer yet. I gues it was receipt notice. You should get it soon. Check with your lawyer, your lawyer might have got it.

Calling it "cashed receipt" is really confusing! Here is what it is... INS fee is paid by some kind of check(s) (personal check, business check, or cashier\'s check etc.) When INS cashes that amount by depositing that check in INS account, the person issued that check can find out by calling their bank and asking them if perticular check is cashed or not. One can get copy of cashed check from their bank. INS write WAC numbers in the back of that check. Normally INS mails receipts same day they cashed the check. So it takes app. 2 to 5 days to reach the candidate/attorney.

In your case if your attorney told you that your checks are cashed then that means only that, I don\'t think he ment he received your Receipts!

Isn\'t it weird that it took 17 days for INS to receive it??

I guess some one in that mail room is working real hard to make stats look a bit better. Note that by making RD 8/20 your application waited in the mail room only for 4 weeks for the record vs actual 7 weeks it did.

OR
Some one in the mail room is not sorting the mail properly (i.e. putting them in wrong basket).

OR
Even though your attorney (if there is one) told you that they mailed it on 8/03, actually they mailed it on 8/17.

Just few thoughts...

Got Receipt dated 8/8/01

Got receipt date as 8/8/01. Mine is a unique case where I-485 was applied on 6/26/01, INS sent back thinking it was family based rather than EB3, attorney sent it back with clarifications and so I got my receipts just recently with receipt date as 8/8/01.

Did anyone got EAD, AP receipts or got EAD/AP yet ?
