Mabrouk Ya Zoal, I think it's better for you to call the USA Embassy in Cairo, and request new interview date appointment, to be in the first three days of this coming September, so in case any kind of additional process or missing documents are there, there will some extra days, they might avoid you the critical time stress, take care brother, all the best .............

I don't think this has anything to do... Just keep on with faith.. I just few minutes ago and my interview in on the 3 SEP.

Wish all the best..

hi, did u get the interview notification in the mail before you called them, or did you just call them and they gave you the date.

Just call them and they will tell you the date and place while waiting for the appointment letter.

I requested change of interview from embassy but they said that they didn't receive my case file yet and that they can't change my interview date :confused:

I guess I'm being too pushy, I'll let things be

You have your interview date Sept 11 and wanna change it? Keep in mind, at Sept 30 DV-2008 is over and you dont know when the embassy has the next free slot.

Yes Tazmania, I was trying to make it earlier but it seems they only interview one DV applicant from Sudan per day

let me rephrase : they have limited slots for Sudan (2-3)

Dear Khalid, calm down, first of all July still not over yet, second wait till time between August 10 to August 15, sure by this time your file will be there, and they will able to mange easy clear decision on your interview new earlier appointment date to be or not to be, but see, this is not the problem, first you should be ready (Complete Required Documents) Aren’t you?, please check that, beside previous winners interview experience it will help you to get your things ready in proper way and enough time before your interview date.

Thnx for your concern ahmed711 , I'm just posting my updates to try to lower the tension of the anticipation, i'm doin my best to hopefully get this over with successfully ;)

when the KCC appointment your date of interview, there is 100% of probability of obtaing the visa, if you fulfill all the papers, certificates of birth, certificates policies, money in your accounts, etc?

i don't entirely agree with this opinion. One can still be refused a visa if you are not able to provide accurate answers to simple questions like
1.what do you intend to do in the US ?
2.Explain certain key terms in your chosen career.

If having all the necessary documents gives 100% certainty of visa issuance, there 'll be no point going for the interview. We could easily mail them to the consulate for the visa to be issued without the hassle of going face to face with a consular officer .Persoanlly i feel having all the documents gives one the following advantages :
a.No undue delays
b.prompts the consular about your general sense of organisation as an individual
c.It gives the consular a very good impression about you
d.finally 80% chance of visa being issued

I know someone who was refused a DV visa in 2005 for a simple reason that he couldn't tell to the last penny the amount of money he had in the personal bank statement he submitted as proof of financial support. The consular officer refused him on the grounds that he might have borrowed or engaged in money laundering. On another ocassion, a family were refused because the main applicant couldn't tell the name of the person who gave them their affidavit of support.I'm not suggesting we will also encounter issues like these but what i'm tyring to point out is that having all the necessary documents without knowing their contents might not guarantee us the visa as we think. We also have to be confident in our approach.

NB: this is just my opinion and i hope no one misconstrues me.

I agree with abeku66 contestation of the 100% surety of obtaining a visa if all the required documents are provided. However, in my view robediente is not too far from right if considered from the context of the response - Moral booster. In addition, the statement is not absolute if analysed carefully and fully
"there is 100% of probability of obtaing the visa, if you fulfill all the papers, certificates of birth, certificates policies, money in your accounts, etc?"
robediente has used etc which could include the factors abeku66 has stated; and then a question mark ? which still leaves the claim for further elaboration and contribution rather than a disagreement. Abeku66 contribution is certainly important.

I think the answer is that if you meet all the conditions, and you have your paper work in order then you are very very likely to get the visa. I don’t think you can say 100% likely though. I was telling people that there was a very strong, 99.9% chance that I would get my visa, as I had most things in order long before the interview.
I had not applied for jobs or made any moving arrangements until the day after I got the visa, although I had out lined what my intentions were to some people “IF” I was to get the visa. Of course until you have it in hand its very difficult to make solid plans, as there could be some minor reason it could be refused or delayed.
As a rule of thumb I have herd that the Irish consulate want to give the visa to qualified applications so they interview on that basis.
