some news

2 cases in my company got approval from DOL with DOL receipt date in Jan. and early Feb. of 2003. Programmer Analyst and Software Engineer. But no news on others which were received in the same time frame. No other details available.

It seems that some officers are working faster than the others. It makes no sense why DOL does not process on a first in first serve basis, as they claimed so.

Thanks for the update atl01.
Could you please find out some more info about those cases.
When the action was taken on them etc.
Did they approve them recently or has it been a while.

Is this from the Atlanta office? Were they RIR or non-RIR cases?

12/23/2002 - still .. :)

I got LC certified today.

My attoney called me this afternoon. My LC was certified.

Sept. 2002. -- Filed at state level in Georgia.
May, 2003 -- got approved and forward to ATL.
August. 2003 -- File missing.
Sept. 2003 -- resent files to Local office.
Oct. 22, 2003 --- forward to ATL regional office.
Feb. 2004 ---- certified.

I have visited here quit often for past few months and got lot of helpful information. But like some guys here, I cannot find my case from http://www.flcdatacenter.com/casesearchperm.asp
or from VMS. I don't know my case number either. I think the database don't cover every cases.

Good luck to everybody and hope you guys got good news soon!!!

Congrats! myh,

Is your case IT related? RIR? EB(?) I guess you are one of luckiest on the May-Jun-July 2003 cases.

Thanks for sharing...

myh...am happy for you, but how the heck did you pull that off?

12/23 - fingers crossed

My colleague who filed in late June 2003 got a query in his state labor. The query was answered in a week.
He got his LC in August 2003 .
Now,thats what you call "Good Luck".

Guys,
I got this from a different Forum, might spike interest in a few people.
"My lawyer said, in Atlanta region, they divided the applications in to two sectors, one till June or July 2003, which is being processed by regular Federal employees, and the second from August 2003 onwards, which is being processed by Contractors from Georgia State Office.

These second sector guys started working on Aug'2003 cases, and the cases forwarded during that time period will go to these guys. so we can expect approvals from these guys as well.

The DOL web site is still showing the processing date as Dec'2002 because, that is the date the regular federal people are working on.

If this is correct, we will get our approvals soon even our labor forwarded to Federal in Aug or September"

Has anyone heard / experienced anything to this effect ??

gc_sc,

It might be true. We know that some of the cases will processed at Georgia SESA for regional processing. But we don't know they are working simultaneously as two sectors.

Looking at this we can see how balanced and fair the DOL is.
Let the guys before june-july 03 be left at thier own fate while folks who have applied later take the fast track to I140/485.
A reasonable solution would have been to increase the work force by getting consultants from GA SESA and handle all the cases on first in first out basis instead of making two different classes.

got approved

guys My employer received my labour certification approval, he just called me so thoght of updating u guys.

I have been a silent spectator of this board.

thanks a lot for your information and lot of other things that i learned watching u guys.

Started : August 22 2003
State : November 7th 2003
DOL approval: February 19th 2004

Hi techy76

Congrats!

Is your state from Georgia or Florida or ? . Please post what category you belong ..like RIR or Non RIR..software related etc...

Thanks

techy76,

Unbelievable!!!

You are the luckiest on the earth. I remember this morning you are updating our forum's waiting list and now you are getting out. I wish all good luck for other stages.

I applied from georgia, I had no clue that things will move so fast.

well its coincidence that I added my name on to the list an hour after that I get a call from my employer saying that my labour has been approved.

NO AVM dosent list my case and neither does the website.

best of luck to all you guys and hope that you guys will hear the same thing soon.
