question about prevailing wage on LC and LCA
Hello Gurus,

my approved LC shows prevailing wage of 60k for my job description..

but presently, i am applying for h1 extension, lawyer kept my salary as 50K..

is this ok?


how will this effect my application for I-140..

any links would be appreciated..

Tamil,

Did you check the date of that article, it makes no sense to follow that since they chnage a lot of procs since that.
 
one my company case # has certified:

DOL Received Date: 1/31/2003
Case# : 043-97-8xx
DOT code : 030.062-010
Status : Certified

But we have some cases in December 2002, they are still pending,
why is that ?
 
Hi TAMIL_GC,

As you earlier mention that your colleague didn't receive the case number from US DOL, will you kindly post / share more info about him, what difference between you and him in general comparison?...like Job Title/Position, Privilege wage, Experience. I believe both the case filed together and forwarded in same date.

I don't have any idea about his prevailing vage and experience. His title is System Analyst. Mine is Programmer/Analyst.
 
Lots of approvals during Jul-Aug-Sept

I checked the Automated Vm and 80% of them are IT related cases getting approved in Jul-Oct. beleive it or not. I gave a random case number starting with 044075... some thing, and I was astonished to hear that it was received on 13th and approved on 20th... Its really amazing.... I cannot beleive it and I see people waiting from dec... till date.... I don;t know what Atlanta DOL is all upto... If they keep the old cases pending and start approving new ones, I presume they are going backwards... so when once Jan-feb--- June comes it might be pretty faster as they already approved those cases received during those periods... GOD should only help us !!!!!
 
prevailing wage

So....in our labor application...does our salary need to be more than or lesser than the prevailing wage?
 
There are few applications from my company which are in received state and only one which is approved, i want to know the wage of this case, this information is not available through AVM, is there any other way to get this information.
 
Talk to ur HR. doubt anyone will give any salary of ur collegue. No one should disclose the salary of yours or ur friends without written letter from ur friend.
