Atlanta DOL contact numbers

Hi folks!

Is there a way for the company HR to call and talk directly to the case officers? The number for the AVM is the following:

(404)-562-2131

However, that does not get you a case officer. How does someone talk to the case officer? Is there a separate phone number for that? Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks.

atlgc:

My friend case was under RIR-EB3 as Programmer Analysts. Roughly before 10 days his lawyer received "Remanded to Employer" for his case. DOL is asking some documentation while hiring him or something.

kobra33611:
I don't know the number of case officers but you can certainly Call 404-562 2115 and talk to Mr. Goodman, Director.

I wish things to speed up...

Atl DOL contact number.

hudakchullu,

Thanks for the number you have provided. I will try to get my HR to call the number and see if they can provide any feedback.

Re: Atl DOL contact number.

As I was browsing previous postings on this website. I found this link

http://www.amitgoel.com/doltracker/index.php

I have added my labor information in it. I would suggest you all should do the same. Also, we should update this site if any one gets certified or remanded etc. Atleast we would know what date DOL is processing and shall anticipate the time.... Hopefully.

How does this AVM Work??? I tried to call them up using my Employers Phone number and it says "That phone number cannot be located" It was transferred to Atlanta on 5/6/2003. I got some info from my lawyers that it was certified.... When I call them up that person is not there and I do not know whom to beleive!!!

Look at ETA papers you filed for LC

Part 1 of the LC papers u filed gives the employer phone no...

I also tried calling the board number of my company ...I got the same error message what you got..
My Lawyers had given a different phone number in the ETA part 1 LC application...
so When i rang that number,i found my record in AVM..

SO I would advice you to look at papers you filed for LC ..and then get that number...

Thanks for the Info. Also I had a quick qn... What will happen if more than one person from the same compnay have applied for Labor certification????

H1Buser,

If more than one person from your company has applied for labor certification, then the system will give the status of all the files and case numbers that are being processed from that company. So, you will not know which specific file is yours. However, if you know your case number, then you will be able to get the case status of your file. Hope that helps.

Confirmation letters.

Hi Folks,

My labor was filed with Florida State in January and I expect it to have gone to Atlanta DOL sometime in May. However, I do not have any letters confirming the same.

I guess that DOL Atlanta would send out some kind of confirmation letter once they receive the file. My lawyer says that they have not received anything yet. Does any one else have the same problem. Is this common?? Are we supposed to wait for a year without getting any kind of acknowledgement from ATL DOL? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Ask your attorney/employer to call SESA and DOL if necessary. They should be able to tell you exactly where your application is.
I remember seeing couple of postings in this forum where the tranmission to ATL DOL is lost and the applicants lost significant time.

It been a while since anyone has updated this forum on what dates the processing is going on ?. Hopefully they are certifying cases of October but haven't hard or any approvals or remand lately.

I think we all should report all activties (even minor ones) to keep this thread ticking.

Thanks.

I spoke with my attorney yesterday. She told me that ATL DOL is still processing September '02 cases. She has couple of Sep 2002 cases (IT related) which have not been approved yet.

I doubt ATL DOL processing October '02 cases as they moved from August to September '02 cases about three weeks ago. Given the backlog and efficiency rate of ATL DOL, September '02 seems more realistic. Hopefully they would start October '02 cases soon.

Regarding recent approvals

If you know someone, who has applied for federal in the month of may, june, july and aug 03 and got approved.
Let me know immediately if someone has god approved in this time frame

thank you

statistically your are right mhsoor. As I mentioned in my previous email, my friend's application was remanded to employer nearly 2 weeks back and his date was 09/30/2003. That was the reason i was thinking that they may be processing October.

Again, it depends on the certifiying officers efficiency. I hope some of them has started working on october.

Thanks.

only Computer professionals are blocked out !!

The case numbers one before me and one after me received on same day as mine has been certified long back..( but with different DOT code ) !!!

I pressed one number less than mine by mistake and i heard a different DOT code and that it was certified !!!

I dont know what they have against Computer Professionals !!!

CP or I485

Most of you in this forum are waiting on the Fed Lab. You all know that once the Labor is approved you will have to opt for Consular Proc (if thats the way you want to go) in your I-140 application. I know it takes a while to get I140 approved, but since we have to decide on the path we intend to take after I140, do you have any input on which would be more efficient.

I am waiting on Fed labor with a priority date of Feb 2003.

Thanks

Re: CP or I485

I am debating which option should I take myself. I am waiting for my Fed Labor with a priority date of Jan. 21 2003. My H1B is going to expire on Jan. 2005. I am not sure I read this right, the Texas service center web page shows that they are now processing 12/1/2000 cases!

I think if we use I-485, we can apply for EAD after 120 days, even I-140 is not approved yet. That will buy us sometime.. anyone has any other advise?
