All the guys with pending August 2002 cases,


One of my friend's attorney called the Atlanta DOL and talked to certifying officer. According to their statement DOL is processing cases from the last week of August 2002 through the first few days of September 2002. The reason for the date range is that there are several analysts (who are reviewing cases at DOL), some are a few days ahead of others. So some are processing September 2002 while some are processing last week of August 2002. So August 2002 cases will be reviewed for final action sooner or leter in new few weeks . Let's hope for good.
Does anybody else have more information or any recent August 2002 approval?

Spoke with my lawyer the other day and he said that he has just started receiving the approvals for late August and early September.
Called the Atlanta yesterday and the lady over the phone said they are working on last week of Aug and Sep cases. Lets cross over fingers.

Qn of Telephone System

My LC was transferred from NC to Atlanta on May 5th 2003 .
I called up the number 4045622131 Telephone inquire system.

It gives me 2 Options
1-- Permanenet Application
2 --- Labor condition application.

Whcih one should I choose???

If I choose 1 I get 2 option to search my Employers Ph no or the Case Number. I do not know the case so I entered my Work PH no... But no response .. I mean no app found.

When I choose Option 2 I get only One option... Enter ur Empl tax id number... If I enter this No apps found....

Am I doing something Wrong??? Please advise!!!!

After calling up the number 4045622131. Select Option1 -- Permanent Application and then either you can search by Employers Ph no or the Case Number. In your case I dont think you need to worry, it simply means that either DOL has not assigned a case number to your application or your case number is not yet updated in their system. There is a colleague of mine whose case also moved to DOL Atlanta in May and he also can not find his case number by calling the said number

The Employers Phone number is not your work phone number, it is your comanpy HR work number.

LC certified.

Moved to Atlanta DOL on 06/09/2003, and certified on 07/22/03. But my lawyer has not received any notice. Thanks all of you for sharing info on this board. Good luck on everybody.

Sure, my case was filed under the special handling for college professors. the DOT code is 090.227-010.

REMANDED TO EMPLOYER

Automated telephone sys. says " the case was remanded to employer on July 17".
According to my attorney, it was because NC Dep. has stamped in wrong place on my application.
So, as soon as NC correct it and send it back to DOL, my LC will be certified.
I'll post further movement.

1. Are you IT related ( I'm sorry as because I'm not familiar with

I think it's 25th Jun'03.

Case Certified

Hi Folks:
My case was certified on July 26 (received on May 19th in Atlanta). My case is same as BinBin - under special handling for college professors DOT code is 090.227-010. It could have been certified earlier but may case was remanded to EMPLOYER (NOT STATE). Remand to employer means some details in the application were incomplete or did not meet all the formalities required. I checked my status on the phone; I think the email is still not working. Good luck to all of you guys and see you in I-140/I-485 links which do not seem to be very active perhaps because of the nature of this stage.

I would say this total "descrimination", we also pay the same tax to government as other people do we also provide same service, then why someone is waiting for approval since Jul of last year and someone got approved in 3 months. INS Policies sucks !!!

Just bunch of popeless people are working on our cases, really frustated now.
