hie guys i just hope you will be able to assist me, i applied for asylum very late like 3 years late however i did my interview in NJ today. the officer seemed pretty much convinced with my case as i was able to prove my case with the scars all over my body. at the end of the interview he asked me to get a full medical report from my US medical doctor & to get one affidavit from a witness & i should fax these in 4 days time & im gonna do that tomoro & he told me to come back in two weeks to pick up my decision. does anyone knoim w what this means or he just gonna refer me to the judge? im very worried

hey guys its me again,i hope this time you will assist me. i went for interviews on tuesday & the officer told me to come & pick up the decision after 2 weeks but today i got a call from them saying i must not come but they will mail it to me. i was out of status for 3 years, does that mean it's a denial & does that mean they are going to take longer than 2 weeks,help please i'm worried

Now set and relax and wait! not to frustrate you but I am waiting for almost 2 years now! same thing happened to me but with the difference that I am still instatus. So, Hopefuly yours will take few weeks or months if you are lucky! Some people say if they are going to deny you they do it sooner than later especially if you are out of status. Good luck to you and don't panic you are going to be approved.
