I got asylum from a Judge after rejection by Asylum officer.
My elder brother has come to the States on tourist visa and has 6 months and now he has five months visa to stay here.
He wanted to apply for asylum and he filed his asylum after being in the States for 45 days.
I am thinking of helping him with the interpretation from his native language to English as i know his case well and my English is fine.
Will I have to sign or print my name or give any info such as my address to the asylum officer during his interview?
Will they find out I am also an asylee? Do I have to tell I am his brother?
Can I still help him with the interpretation?
Also, Do the asylum officer allow to bring in a witness or representative besides the applicant himself and the interpreter?
Thanks.
Thanks.
