Asylum process

Hi everyone,
I am sorry to bother you all but I have a simple question.

I have been living in Turkey, my father and I are Kurdish (they immigrated from Syria a long time ago).

As all of you know, Turkey is a in like a civil war. I was also in the protests but not arrested thanks God, but many of my friends have been. After the protests which are still going on, I came to U.S.A on F1.

Things are going in crazy there, and there is a situation that I can not study in USA because I lost my father too so my financial status in bad.. So I need to drop my school. Whenever I speak with my friends, they are telling me not to come, because the protests are going on and everything is bad.

I know, maybe this is not enough for an asylum. But can you suggest me what I should do? I am pretty complicated and dont know what to do...

Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry for your loss. It's horrible. But in Turkey there's no civil war. The protests were for democratic rights.
Though the way government handled protests was far from ideal, it shouldn't endanger you at all. Things
died down recently and back to normal. I see no reason for you to go back if you want to. Since you lost
your father and given that he was sponsoring you for F1 you can get hardship waiver and work permit to work
outside of campus though.

Umm I see, I didnt say it is in a civil war, its likely to be. But let me put in this way,

I was hit by a cop bludgeon from several places during the first days of the events, I have hospital records for that. There are dead civilians, I am not sure how foreign press is taking it the events are still going on. But it is not seem to be going.

Then again, as you say it might be less for asylum. I do also work on-campus too but it is not enough. I think I need to try my chance with something else.

I live in Turkey and I think there is no dangerous situation for Kurds. Because government is trying to support them. But try your chance may be you will be accepted.
