Hi everybody,
so as I said in former posts, I got my recommended approval in less than a week after my interview and never heared back from the asylum office again, I wrote to them many time with no response and finally went to inquire in person three times.
everytime they said my background check in pending and I should come back in 3 months and its always the same answer, right now i'm employed by the federal government and as all federal job mine required a background check and a security clearance( minimum clearance becuase i'm not a US citizen but it still a clearance) and that was done in less than two months, so i went back to the asylum office and they gave me the same answer but when i told them where I work they double checked and said that everything is done and its bending one more final step and it should be done in three weeks
two months later and still no answer, so this is what I want to do and please if anyone can help share your thoughts
I decided to go ahead and request and appointment with either the Asylum Office Director or the Deputy Director to see what is hapening! all what i'm asking for is a yes or no answer, I'm having a hard time as i'm i'm sure all of you guys are, I do want to go back ( to a neighboring country) to see my parents my dad just had a quadruple bypass surgery and I'm not sure how much time he has and I havn't seen him in years!! plus many other things that I can't do here cuz my SSN card has the work Authorization note typed on it ( which I have ) but still some banks won't accept to give you a loan or a mortgage or even open an account for me ( some do some dont )
plus many many other things that I dont want to bother you guys with, the qustion is does any one know to get to meet the Asylum Office Director or the Deputy Director? my asylum office is Arlington VA, anyone ever tried to do that before? do you guys think it will help at all? or will they even let me meet them? I mean they are public servants after all and we should be able to right ?
