After waiting so long in uncertainty/limbo, I finally received the final approval today. Praise the lord. Today is the day of the defining moment for me

I noticed that the date on the i94 is different from the one on the approval letter.
Which one is the official date?

CONGRATULATION

Thank you osogio. You are right time flies.
Raziel said that the date on the I-94 is the official date. If this is correct, then this means that I can apply for green card in 11 months.

My clock has started counting. It was sleeping and I wake it up today.

Congrats

Congratulations buddy, most of us here know exactely how you feel... Enjoy it...!!!!

Congratulations Assylum, the official date is the one stated in the letter. Your asylum (the approval letter ) is approved than the I-94 is issued. i e the I-94 follow the approval letter.

the letter is printed and dated after the date on I-94, I-94 indicates the true asylum grant date, the letter indicated the date where it was printed and sent afterwards.

there are 2 dates in the letter:

the first date is printed on the first line "below it is the name and address

the second date is on the 9th line
Arrival departure record, indicating that you have been granted asylum status in the united statespursuant to 208 (a) of the immigration and nationality act (INA) as of xx/xx/2010

this date "xx/xx/2010" on the 9th line of the letter is the same date on the I-94, which is the date of grant "the date where you apply for GC after a year!!"

If you want to apply to SS card, Driving license, GC, RTD... etc... you will be asked to present I-94 "not the letter"
