Hi,

I see everyone still getting EAD of 1 year validity. If I remember correctly new EADs are supposed to be valid till the time your AOS is not complete. Is it that all of us will get GC in 1 year? :D

Anyone out there who got EAD with validity > 1 year?

485 waiting time

hi,

what is the average waiting time for 485? My 485 ND is Jul.10.03, I have completed 365 days so far, my 2nd EAD will expire in JUN.30.05, by that time I will complete full 2 years, I would expect my 485 approved before Jun 30 05, what do you guyz think?

Jharkhandi,

I read somewhere that EAD with Longer valididty would be initially only for I-130(Family based cases). For the EB Cases it will be implemented at a later stage.

Regards.

I'm not as up to speed on the current I-485 processing trends as others but it looks like there are some people from July/Aug 2002 who are being approved currently along with a leading smaller "wave" of people from Jan/Feb 2003. We're also starting to see the odd FOM approval (I-140 and I-485 adjucated together) from even more recent dates. Assuming the VSC at least keeps pace from now on, this would seem to indicate that in one year they would have processed your app, possibly sooner.

It sounds like receiving your FP notice will be an indication that they expect to process your app within 1 year or so (before the FP expires so they don't have to ask you to do this again).

You never know though...
