Received our passports yesterday. Two H1Bs stamped (myself and spouse) sent in the same envelope. Both visas were stamped on June 01 and passports sent from DC on June 03 which we got on June 04

Everything looks good. I appreciate everyone on this forum who shared their info. for tracking.

I used electronic version of application which generates individual barcoded PDFs for each applicant. May be due to that reason I got it revalidated in 6 weeks whereas normal time seems to be 8 weeks. Good luck to all.

Question about stamping for Pakistani citizens

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if there is any approvel case for Pakistani citizens, I have heard that officers at St louis are pretty strick with some surnames and a person being single. Is that true? Kindly share your experinces. I sent my case through lawyer on May 10 and he was pretty confident about getting it and now I have to pay him his fee which is $500 (every thing included) but before paying it just wanted to get an idea from you guys out there.

Did u send original or photocopy of I797? I have sent a photocopy as written in their website.

Also did u send bar code generated DS156 form using online system OR u filled a PDF form and took print out.

Stamped Passports received

Received USPS priority mail yesterday with stamped visas dt 06/01/2004.

My wife's last visa stamp had her maiden name on it because we did not have the name change done on her passport then. However this time even after sending her new passport with the name change (plus our marriage certificate and my new passport with her name on it), her new visa still shows her maiden name. I doubt this is going to pose problems but I'm curious if anyone else had the same experience.

Revalidation Question

My H-1 renewal was applied 4 months back. I received the approval this month, but my job title changed (even though the responsibilities are the same) last month due to a promotion.The LCA is for my old job title. Anyone dealt with a similar case before? I have to send in a visa revalidation application and wanted some advice on how to handle this.

the electronic form has space for writing only one date. In my case I have about 3 us visas issued to me in the past; how do i mention all of them? can i just mention the latest one.

Just mention whatever latest, after printing the barcoded form write other dates and issue posts.

Passports stamped

Received passports today by FedEx, everything is ok. I moved to another address after sending my application. I faxed my new address & request letter to Washington DC Visa office but no use they shipped to my old address.
I called FedEx and rerouted package to new address after package got into shipping.

DS156 questions

I am filling the electronic DS156 for visa revalidation within the US.

No (8): Other surnames used: Since I have none do I type "none" on the electronic form or leave this blank?

No (14) - National identification number: do we leave this blank; or write in ink "none" after taking a print-out? (I am an Indian citizen and do not have one)

Can the two DS156 pages be printed on separate sheets, or should they be printed bak to back.

I realize these might sound like stupid questions, but then the Chennai consulate specifically addresses these questions. DOS does not address these questions. Any help would be appreciated. I am about to send the documents to St Louis.
