Before I tell my story I have a question. Should I get a stamp on passport or just wait for card? Is the stamp mandatory ? Will the stamp be valid even after the card arrives?Any suggestions?


Whew ...what a relief......9 years in this country....3 H1 renewals...3 EAD and 3 AP and finally the pain is over...I hope

I had so many hurdles it is impossible to believe . But hopefully this will help others. I recieved my first RFE in Mar 2003. Then after several inquires I was told that the RFE was lost .This is in DEC2003. Then we resent it which was lost again and then finally recieved the 3rd copy in March2004 .Then it went into the black hole again .When inquired they asked for original labor cert which took another 2 months. Then they said extra security checks...then another fingerprint. Meanwhile there was retrogressiion stuff.

Anyways I thanks everyone on this alias and wish goodluck

How many times there were changes to your I485 LUD between your Biometrics were done and your FBI name check completion

not all the people have biometric. When I did my FP, I did them all. FP, pix taken and signature. Don't know why some people needed to go for the biometric. any idea?
 
Here are answers to some questions.
My priority date is sometime 1997 . I applied for 485 in 2002 .I never kept trackLUD because it doesnt make any sense..because there is no logic to LUD and you just become more hopeful and when nothing happens you become intimidated and frustrated .

Only suggestion I can make is that making an inquiry from your attorney helps.Specially in the division 12 or something. Again if you are not waiting for more than 12 months after 485 applied I ask you tobe more patient and not make unnecessary phone calls to emergency lines or sending email to Mr williams etc etc.That will only delay somebody else case which in turn might cost you .So use your attorney and if it taking too much longer than expected then try and make inquires.

Again just my opinion . It isvery frustrating experience we try to do too many things when we are despertate.....hang in there...good luck

It is so nice to see one more old timer approved!

Why do you want a stamp in your passport? Cards are made quikly now. I got my card in 6 days after approval.
