I moved to a new address after filing EAD Renewal application

Receipt date - 02/18/2004

Moved to new address on - 04/01/2004

Called National Customer service Center on 04/14/2004 and they changed address
Also filed AR11

At that time the EAD status showed "approved- card has been requested"

Then the status changed to "Approval Notice was Mailed on 04/08/2004.

I am worried that the EAD card went back into the TSC Black Hole.

I have called them twice already and after waiting for 30 mts, I was told that they can open an enquiry only after 30 days has passed

The second time the INS lady said, I can apply for an interim EAD, but I am not sure she is right, because , I may not get an interim EAD, if my original EAD is already approved

I did give forwarding in address and getting my mail forwarded, My fear is my card went right back to TSC

I did not anticipate my EAD application getting approved so soon. Am I better off applying for another new EAD?

any suggestions are most welcome.

Fortunately my current EAD is valid until June 23rd. but I would rather get my approved EAD card back if I can help

thanks!

---- apply new EAD
any suggestions are most welcome.

do the below and write to service center that you changed address, write your name, DOB, A# and ask them to update your NEW address and resend your EAD card to NEW address, attach the EAD filing reciept copy or BCIS online print out that your EAD was approved:
1 file form AR11 for address change (you have done this)
2 update NCSC on 18003755283, your new address, provide them your EAC or LIN # of I-485 and reciept # of any pending petitions with service center, provide the receipt#, your name, DOB, A#
3 write letter to service center for address change on your I-485 or any pending petition with them provide your past and NEW address, attach I-485 receipt copy, write your name, DOB, A# on cover letter. Send the letter to your service center with certified return receipt and out side the envelope write in big bold letters ATTENTION: ADDRESS CHANGE
*** do the all 1,2,3
Fortunately my current EAD is valid until June 23rd. but I would rather get my approved EAD card back if I can help

Just a few more questions.

a. Can you please give me the correct address for writing such
general correspondence

b. Can I also send a fax . If so what is the correct fax number

c. Apply for New EAD online

d. And wait for 90 days and then try and get a new EAD

thanks!

fyi...

One of my friends approved/renewed EAD was forwarded by the local post office to their new apt address.

This happened 6 months back, so i am not sure if it is valid now or not.

I was in the same situation. I did following things.
talk to post office personnel who delivers the mail to the old address and request her to not to send back to the TSC as undeliverable and give her your new address. They will be very happy to help.

Mine was delivered to the old address anyway, current resident called us through real estate agent and we picked up my EAD

good luck

Apply for a new one ASAP and then try to get the old one

My Wife's AP was lost in the mail and i did two rounds of the INS office trying to convince them to issue a new one(in emergency) or provide a duplicate copy of the old (Neither one was honoured) and i had to cancel all my vacation plans.
INS officer informed me that as my Wife's AP was not received by INS as returned or Non Deliverable, they will not be able to mail it to my new address.
Waiting for the new AP ....patiently.
