thank you so much i have learned alot......but now more scared than ever that i might have done something wrong! but when i got my reciept letter they did not ask for any other information.......i don't know what that means but thanks alot for your help....
CP really isn't a difficult process to go through; just respond to each letter requesting you "do" something and eventually you'll get through it. Overall it'll probably take 9 months or so from start to finish.
The approximate steps are:
- Submit I-130 to SC
- Receive I-130 approval. Case forwarded to NVC
- I-864 fee bill
- Beneficiary nominates an agent
- Request to complete I-864
- DS-230 fee bill
- Request to complete DS-230
- Case forwarded to consulate
- Consulate schedules interview
- Beneficiary undergoes medical and attends interview
- Immigrant visa issued
- Arrive in US on immigrant visa. Receive GC in 2-3 weeks.
But you not prove that you love him or not... you prove that he is your husband. By showing common evidence in both of your names, a marriage license, etc.
Yeah USCIS don't care so much what's in your heart, more like verifyable evidence that you engage in activities that married people usually engage in. I wrote out a list of them recently here but found a much better list here.
