My friend only got a copy as the interview date letter and got it twice on the same day. Nobody at USCIS asked her why it was a copy and she had called about it and they had told her "don't worry and don't risk to ask more or get an original, or you might risk your appointment to be pushed back"...so she went and got approved with a copy...lol
