Applying for US Citizenship after 11 years

I am applying to citizenship next year, in 2013. My application was EB3. It was approved September 2001 (thanks to LIFE act 245i). I already renewed greencard.

The employer gave me a laid off notice after 3 months and 3 weeks (almost 4 months) because his work got slow.
I have the notice. Last day was December 31st 2001. Not a very happy new year.

Now the question:

1. Filed taxes every year, owe nothing to IRS, but can not find w2's for 2001 and 2002. The IRS told me they only keep the last 10 years, they might have 2002 transcript but not 2001. It has been 9 weeks I asked for those and they only sent me a notice for the w2 of 2001 (we cannot process, already deleted it).

2. I worked for my employer 4 years before GC, only thing is right before Labor cert. was approved I had to stop working due to 2 surgeries in my back. Stopped for about 7 months. I should have had sick leave but my employer did not offer it and I really needed the job. They filed my i-140 and when my date was current, my i-485 (for my and my now ex wife). When i-485 was filed I joined again full time and was laid off 6 months after (almost 4 months after greencard approved). The laid off notice has all the dates, original hire date, voluntary separation, rehire and layoff.

3. I have taxes from 2003 until now, paid every year. Only w2 of 2001 and 2002 are missing.

4. Never problems with the law. Only parking tickets, but none in the last 5 years.

5. No long trips, only one in 2002 for 92 days to be with family reenter with no issue.

6. I somehow better my english language for the test and can read and write well.

7. Got to work in similar job, then I got to be a Branch Manager, do not know if that will be issue with INS.

Question is do I need more docs from company or laid off notice is enough, because I believe they downsized a lot during these years. I know my original manager is not with them anymore so if they call the new manager he/she might not remember me in particular.

8. Have no kids, no child support due not criminal history nothing.

9. I feel more confident in my english now, and am studying the questions, I need to learn them from memory.

Please help with the answer to all my questions. Thanks.

USCIS (note INS ceased to exist in March 2003) will look at your naturalization eligibility primarily for the 5 years prior to the N-400 filing date.

USCIS would always have problems with fraud in obtaining your greencard BUT you don't have that problem because of how you got your status via legalization and 245(i).

What do I do about the 2001 and 2002 w2 forms?

I have taxes from 1994 (year I came to US) until now.

Also do I need other docs from the company that sponsored me?

You are worrying about useless crap. Forget about it. Try doing something that might actually be productive.

If you hold a valid Green Card I think you'll be fine. Most I've seen people asked for is 4 years of tax transcripts and you can order them for free on the IRS website.

I've been here 12 years, GC for nearly 10 and I recently applied. Not sweating it. I got my 4 years of transcripts in case they request to see them.
