Applying for Reentry Permit while I-90 in process: need help soon

Hello all,
I recently received my Green Card, but it had a wrong resident since date. So I have filed I-90 and sent the original Green Card to USCIS for processing. I have heard it takes anywhere between 4-6 months for processing i-90 and receiving the rectified Green Card.

In the meanwhile, I am about to receive a job offer from a company in India that would require me to be in India for a couple of years.

My question is -
1. Can I apply for a reentry permit while the I-90 is still in process? I suppose I can get the temporary stamp by making an infopass. Should I be sending the copy of this temporary stap or the original green card while applying for the reentry permit?
2. If I receive the reentry permit before I receive the rectified Green Card, can I immediately travel to India even when i-90 is under process by providing a c/o address for the USCIS to mail the rectified Green Card

Thanks!

1. A copy of the original GC or the stamp is sufficient for the application.
2. You can change your address with CIS, but you must ALSO change your address for the I90 application (using the LIN assigned to it). You can leave the country with the RP. It'll be proof you're an LPR.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. Please dont mind the following three questions?

1. So if I am required to join at this new company sooner rather than later, could I leave the country as soon as the finger printing (for the reentry permit) is done? (with both I90 and Reentry permit applications in process?)

2. Excuse the ignorance, but could the new address to receive the rectified GC and the Reentry permit be a care-of address of some trusted friend here in the US? Or could it possibly be my Indian address? (I will be turning in my apartment when I leave so I may not have a solid address in the US while I am gone)

3. Although I will be leaving active all the bank accounts, DL etc. I don't own a house here to prove strong "resident" ties in the US . What steps of caution should I take before I leave US in order to preserve my Green Card status when I try to return to the US?

Thanks again!

1 and 2: You can leave the US after fingerprinting, and then the permit will later be delivered to the US address you gave on the application, or to a US consulate in the country of your choice where you can pick it up.

3: If you really want to keep your green card, don't take that job. Working abroad for an extended time can be used against you to cancel your green card, and without strong ties to the US it will be hard to defend your green card if they seek to cancel it for abandonment.
