Hello.

I received my Green Card in 2004. I need to know when I can apply for a citizenship and how.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

You can apply after 4 years and 9 months after getting your GC. You can get the form N400 from BCCI website with instructions.

How did you get your Green Card?

Are you married to a US citizen?
Are you a service member of the US armed forces?

Your best bet is to consult the USCIS M-476 "Guide to Naturalization" for details of the various timeframes involved depending upon your circumstances.

5 yrs -90days or 1735 days after you got your green card .
If married to USC 3yrs - 90days or 1005days from your GC.
Good Luck :D

Hi,
If your husband has been a US citizen for three years or more and both of you have been married and living together for three years or more, then it is 3 years (minus 90 days) from your GC date.
Good luck!!!

Thank you!

My husband is a US citizen and we married in Dec. 2000.

So is it 3 years or 4 years after the GC?

You said you got your Green card in 2004.If your husband was a US citizen the time you were getting married(Dec 2000).You will be elegible to apply for citizenship 2 years and 9 months (3 years-90 days) from month of year 2004 your were granted Permanent resident status. You see on your Green card it says RESIDENT SINCE:MONTH,DATE,YEAR.That means sometime in 2007.Get ready for nex year.Good luck.
