Applying for a Green Card through Parents

Hi,
My parents are both green card holders. They will be getting their citizenship in 2008. I am currently on H1-B. Can I file for my Green card through them or should I file it with my employer. Since they are getting their citizenship in 2008, would it expedite my green card if I am unmarried and I have filed my green card through them?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
K.

Unless your employer files on a EB1category , your wait time is long . It is my understanding that you are over 21 years of age .
The best path to take is to apply based on your parents citizenship .
US Citizen filing for unmarried son in CA for I 130 Processing date is Jan 2003
US Citizen filing for Married son in CA for I 130 Processing date is Apr 2001 .

You do the math , Check processing dates before you file ypour papers. https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp;jsessionid=drLTMvsqM2e-

Which is faster depends on your category and country of birth.
if you apply through parents, cutoff data is 2000 now. so 6 year process.
if you are EB2 or higher and from ROW, your EB GC will be much faster than family base.
