I am starting the process of applying U.S. Citizenship for my parents who had their green card for the past 5 years.
They
1) What to include with application? Form doesn't mention anything like tax returns, birth certificate. Are they required?

I have included them in my tax returns for couple of years but they have filed their own for the last 2 years.

2) I am in ST Louis, MO. How long does it take for the process to complete?

Appreciate your time and help!

Along with applications, they should include their passport-size pictures, photocopies of their GCs, checks or money orders for biometrics and application fees. Also, if there were any prior marriages (not only in the US), they should provide copies of divorce decrees and their notarized translations. A copy of marriage certificate may be also included, if, for example, your mother changed her name at marriage. Copies of your birth certificate & notarized translations (if you were born in a foreign country, and your parents got their GCs through you) proving that you are their child may be needed. Their own birth certificates and their native country passports are not needed. If they have never had any problems with taxes paid past due, no tax documents are needed. However, by the time when they go to the interview, it is better to order tax transcripts by calling IRS or through www.irs.gov website. These tax transcripts are for free, and they come in about a week after ordering.

The DO in St. Louis, MO is comparatively slow. In my case, it takes 6 months to get to the oath.

Simply follow the form instructions. They apply on their own behalf. You are not applying for them, you are only assisting them.

Did mom and dad any long trips abroad? That is often an issue for that demographic.
