Applying AP from outside USA

I live in San Francisco and my green card is in the final stage (pending 485 Status).I have my EAD. I came to India for an emergency 2 weeks ago and could not take my Advance parole.Now I want to come back to the USA using advance parole.I read in the manual that a person can apply for AP from outside the USA, can I apply AP in the USA Embassy in India ?
Is that possible ? Please help me.
Or can I have a friend apply AP for me ?

Nope. You don't have AP at all, or you forgot to take it with you?

I did not forget, it was an emergency and I left immediately since I had no other choice.
But in the 131 form instructions, its written that a person can file in the local embassy for AP and a person inside the US can apply AP on my behalf ?
Is that not applicable ?

That is not applicable to individuals who have a pending I-485 and who want to travel without abandoning the I-485. It is for foreigners not living in the US to enable them to come to the US in an emergency. For preservation of a pending I-485, the AP must be approved before the I-485 applicant departs the US.
