Apply J1 waiver at home country?

Can u help me with the waiver procedures in Chennai, for eg, where can I get the No Objection forms etc . Most of the links tell me how to apply for 2 yr waiver for US, Im in India now , trying to get the HRR waived. PLeaseee help!

The procedure should be the same. Contact your embassy in Washington, they will tell you what they need from you in order to issue the no objection statement, in a mean time, go to this website

fill out the forms, print the packet. There will be one page that you need to send to your embassy in this packet. I recommend sending it together with the info the embassy needs from you.

The tricky part will be to get the US stamped return envelope, your local post office should help with that.

Thanks for the quick response.Will go to the US embassy here in Chennai tomm and will fill the Doc. and keep it ready. Once this step is done im sure will have more questions...

I believe you will need to contact your country's consulate in Washington DC. US embassy has nothing to do with no objection statements from your home country.

yes, i shd b calling my embassy in Washington for the no objection form. I wish there is a download of such form..which i can fill and get NOS from the regional officials here n then submit. Such form which i found in the website for Indian Embassy NY asks it to be attested by Counslate General of India in NY.....thats the problem for me! Guess shd investigate more on this.

Any ideas on applying No Obj from Home country is greatly appreciated!

how to Apply waiver from home country

called the Indian Embassy in US, they simply ask me to log in to the indianembassy.org , where I find the no ojbection forms, where it asks for the a US current address n attestation by the Counslate General of India. Now since in already in India how should i proceed?
