Apply H-4

Hello Everybody
I am currently in H-1 and want to apply for H-4 based on my husband's H-1.
What is the procedure to apply for H-4 visa when you are in the U.S. ( i am not planning to go out of U.S. and come back)?
Do you need legal help or one can do it individually?

You can file H1 to H4 Change of status in US. Form for COS is I-539. If you are not expert in fling with USCIS then get help from lawyer.

H-1 to H-4 is Relatively Simple

The process to apply for a change of status from H-1 to H-4 is a relatively simple process. Since your spouse is on a valid, H-1 status, your H-4 petition will be a derivative status of your spouse. As such, your H-4 petition will rely solely on your spouse's status.

Proof of the spousal status as well as other demographic information and proof of relationship is essential for receiving approval of this petition. I would also suggest that you make sure you complete the appropriate petition and submit the required fees.
